The PFCC topic for this week is “Glow”. For a change, this one went together fast, early in the week. I started with a background from Pixabay.com (found in a search for glow) It was a gradient from yellow to a deep orange with rays of light coming from the top. Under that, I put in a pink bokeh background from Artella, and change the blend mode of the glow layer. I then added the Venetian mask from AdobeStock, and applied some inner and out glows FX. Since the mask had music notes on it, I incorporated two musical pngs at a soft blend mode and low opacity under it. When I searched for “glow” on pixabay, I noticed one of the images that came up was a set of eyes. So I download that, as well, and picked a pair that matched the mask. They took quite a bit of warping, 3D postcard manipulation and some puppet warp, but I eventually got them to fit the eye holes and orientation of the mask. This one just sang to me from the beginning. I really love this composite.
Alice Wondering was from the week of February 5th when the topic was woodlands, and mushrooms sample were the starting image.
